Aging Together : Supporting and Caring for Older Tongzhi (LGBTQ+) in Hong Kong
Through five scenarios, each presenting both "needs improvement" and "more appropriate" approaches, we aim to educate frontline workers on how to provide services that are diverse, inclusive, and affirming of tongzhi identities. Additionally, this project promotes the importance of HIV testing and the concept of "Undetectable = Untransmittable" (U=U). Following this, we interviewed several older tongzhi to learn about their life experiences, their views on healthcare and social services, and their perspectives and expectations regarding diversity, inclusion, and affirmation of their identities.
Resilience and Solidarity seeks not only to improve the quality of healthcare and social services for older tongzhi but also to ensure they receive the respect and support they deserve, allowing them to live with greater dignity in society.
