

Objectives

To nurture positive identity formation and build resilience of older tongzhi.

To provide training to service providers to increase their understanding of the older tongzhi community and hence improve their quality of services.

To inform the government to formulate policies responsive to older tongzhi needs.

To raise the general public’s awareness of the challenges and needs of older tongzhi.


Activities and Community Services
-
Grey & Pride Academy: Enhancing personal growth, community connections, and social involvement for older tongzhi through monthly gatherings, including legal talks, health education seminars, and social activities.

Counselling: Supporting older tongzhi in building positive self-identities through hotlines, home visits, and outreach services.

Professional Training: Improving service providers’ understanding and quality of service for older tongzhi through the “train the trainers” program. These providers can then share relevant knowledge and skills with other workers.

Policy Advice: Informing the government about policies related to aging, family, and equal opportunities that address the needs of older tongzhi through consultation and discussion.

Public Education: Increasing public awareness of the needs of older tongzhi through public talks and tongzhi events.
