Gay Pride Hong Kong

Hong Kong Pride is an annual event that celebrates tongzhi pride and advocates for equal rights, acceptance, and inclusion of the tongzhi community in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Pride unites people from diverse backgrounds to march in solidarity, raise public awareness of tongzhi issues, and foster a sense of belonging and community. It serves as both a celebration of diversity and a platform for driving social change, pushing for greater legal protections and social acceptance for sexual and gender minorities.

 

This year (2024), our founder, Prof. Kong, serves as the Rainbow Ambassador of Hong Kong Pride. His dedication and influence have consistently brought attention to tongzhi issues, promoting social inclusion and acceptance within Hong Kong society. For Grey and Pride, participating in the event amplifies visibility and fosters solidarity within the tongzhi community. Our presence highlights the unique challenges faced by older tongzhi and helps to build stronger cross-generational unity.
